सतराव्या लोकसभेसाठीच्या सातव्या आणि अंतिम टप्प्यासाठी रविवारी (19 मे)मतदान होत आहे.

नवी दिल्ली : सतराव्या लोकसभेसाठीच्या सातव्या आणि अंतिम टप्प्यासाठी रविवारी (19 मे)मतदान होत आहे. मतदानासाठी सर्व सरकारी यंत्रणा सज्ज झाल्या असून, कडेकोट बंदोबस्तही ठेवण्यात आला आहे. सात राज्ये आणि एका केंद्रशासित प्रदेशातील 59 जागांसाठी हे मतदान होत आहे. 918 उमेदवार त्यासाठी रिंगणात असून सुमारे 10 कोटी मतदार आपला हक्क बजावणार आहेत.
सातव्या टप्प्यामध्ये बिहार (8), हिमाचल प्रदेश (4), झारखंड (3), मध्य प्रदेश (8), पंजाब (13), उत्तर प्रदेश (13), पश्चिम बंगाल (9) या राज्यांसह चंदीगड (1) या केंद्रशासित प्रदेशामध्येही मतदान होत आहे. या टप्प्यामध्ये पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी उत्तर प्रदेशच्या वाराणसीमधून निवडणूक रिंगणात आहेत. त्यांना काँग्रेसचे अजय राय आणि सप-बसप आघाडीच्या शालिनी यादव यांनी आव्हान दिले आहे.
