नवी दिल्ली - संजय लीला भन्साळी यांचा बहुचर्चित व बहुप्रतीक्षित 'पद्मावत' सिनेमा अखेर बॉक्सऑफिसवर झळकला आहे. इतिहासात छेडछाड केल्याचा आरोप करत राजपूत करणी सेनेकडून 'पद्मावत' सिनेमाविरोधात तीव्र व हिंसक निदर्शनं देशभरात सुरू आहेत. या पार्श्वभूमीवर कुठेही अनुचित प्रकार घडू नये, यासाठी कायदा सुव्यवस्था राखण्याचे एक आव्हान प्रशासनासमोर उभं राहिले आहे. राजपूत करणी सेनेने आपला कडवा विरोध कायम ठेवला असून, सेनेचे प्रमुख लोकेंद्र सिंह कालवी यांनी ‘पद्मावत’ दाखवल्या जाणा-या चित्रपटगृहांबाहेर ‘जनता संचारबंदी’ लागू केली जाईल, असे बुधवारी (24 जानेवारी) म्हटले होते. मल्टिप्लेक्स असोसिएशन आॅफ इंडियाने हिंसाचाराच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर आमचे राजस्थान, गुजरात, मध्यप्रदेश व गोवामधील सदस्य ‘पद्मावत’चे प्रदर्शन करणार नाहीत, असे जाहीर केले. हरियाणातील गुरुग्राम येथील काही शाळा बंद ठेवण्यात आल्या आहेत. याशिवाय, महाराष्ट्र, उत्तर प्रदेशातील सिनेमागृहांनाही संरक्षण पुरवण्यात आले आहे.
‘पद्मावत’ २५ जानेवारीला प्रदर्शित करण्याचा सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाचा आदेश आल्यानंतर मंगळवारी अहमदाबादेत करणी
सेनेने मेणबत्ती मोर्चा काढला. त्यानंतर लगेचच हिंसाचार व जाळपोळ झाली. अहमदाबादेतील अॅक्रोपोलीस, अहमदाबाद वन, हिमालय मॉल आणि सिनेमॅक्सवर हल्ले झाले. विशेष म्हणजे, या चित्रपटगृहाच्या मालकांनी आम्ही ‘पद्मावत’ दाखवणार नाही, असे जाहीर केले होते.
