Alibag is the headquarters of the district. The district government hospital has 160 beds at this place. There are 40 ventilator beds and 60 oxygen beds. The rest are ordinary beds, and 60 beds have been arranged at Jijamata. There are 50 oxygen beds. At present, both the hospitals are full of patients. Therefore, the relatives of the patients are constantly complaining that there is no space available for the newly arrived patients. As it is the main location of the district, the patients sent from the government hospital in South Raigad are sent to Alibag, and due to the increasing number of patients in Alibag taluka every day, there is no space left in the hospital. Every day at least 35 patients have to wait, and as there is no space available, they have to go to RCF Hospital, Ranwade Private Hospital. However, the number of patients is higher there too. As the bed is not available, the patients are in a dilemma. Currently, the number of patients with low oxygen levels is high. So their relatives have to go round the hospitals to get beds. Even so, they do not get beds and have to wait in line or have to take the road to hospitals in Panvel, Mumbai.
The number of patients admitted every day is high, while the number of those who are discharged after recovery is low. Therefore, the health system has to work hard to balance this. Although some patients have normal oxygen levels, they do not go to bed. Therefore, the condition of the waiting patients is at hand. About eight to ten patients are ready for leave after requests from the administration, but patients still have to wait. District Collector Nidhi Chaidhary has informed that the oxygen bed will be increased. However, in reality this work is not yet complete. Not only has the emergency patient received a bed, but the emergency department has been provided with five oxygen beds. Patients are being treated there by recruitment. Meanwhile, the government and the administration urgently need to complete the work of raising the oxygen bed on the battlefield. Only then will everyone have the right to treatment,
